Cilantro Lime Shrimp


  • 1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp

  • 1/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin

  • Kosher Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 5 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (from 1 medium lime)

  • 3 to 4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro



Season the shrimp with cumin, salt and pepper.

Heat a large non stick skillet over medium hogh heat.Add 1 tsp of oil and half of the shrimp.  Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes.  Turn the shrimp overand cook until opaque throughout.  Transfer to plate.  Cook the remaining shrimp he same way.  When you turn this batch over add the garlic.  Add the first batch back in and stir to incorporate the garlic.

Squeeze with lime juice and sprinkle with chopped cilantro and toss to combine.
